SeamlessHR has officially rebranded as Seamless Technologies, marking a major strategic shift beyond human resource management into artificial intelligence, embedded finance, and enterprise technology solutions.
The company announced the transition alongside the launch of Samira, an AI-powered assistant designed to automate workplace tasks, deliver business insights, and improve workforce productivity across its platform.
As part of the restructuring, Seamless Technologies will now operate through three core business units. SeamlessHR will continue serving as its workforce management platform, Breeze will provide embedded financial services such as payroll financing and earned wage access, while SeamlessProcure will focus on procurement and vendor management for enterprises.
The company also introduced BWOP (Blue Collar Operations Platform), a solution designed specifically for frontline and shift-based employees, addressing a segment that has traditionally been underserved by HR technology.
According to CEO and Co-founder Dr. Emmanuel Okeleji, the rebrand reflects the company’s broader vision of using technology to improve both business operations and financial access across Africa.
Founded in 2018, Seamless Technologies serves nearly 2,000 businesses across 20 African countries and manages payroll for approximately 300,000 employees. The company has raised about $28.2 million from investors, including the Gates Foundation, Helios Investment Partners, Capria Ventures, and Olive Tree Capital.
The expansion into embedded finance builds on the company’s existing payroll infrastructure, allowing it to offer financial products backed by verified employment and salary data. While the strategy strengthens financial inclusion opportunities for formally employed workers, it also places the company within an evolving regulatory environment as payroll-linked lending continues to develop across African markets.
With the launch of Samira and its broader technology ecosystem, Seamless Technologies is positioning itself as a business infrastructure platform that combines workforce management, AI, procurement, and financial services under one brand.
