Samsung Electronics has officially introduced its latest generation of AI-powered tablets to the Nigerian market, unveiling the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab A11 at a high-profile launch event in Lagos. The unveiling reinforces Samsung’s commitment to blending design innovation, cutting-edge artificial intelligence, and practical everyday functionality to deliver smarter, more intuitive experiences for users across Africa.
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, the flagship device in the lineup, represents Samsung’s boldest tablet design to date. Engineered with the brand’s thinnest frame ever, it pairs portability with unrivaled performance. At its core is Samsung’s most powerful processor yet, driving the brightest display the company has ever created for a tablet. The redesigned S Pen has also been elevated, now featuring a hexagonal build for enhanced grip and precision, while its AI-enabled Quick Tool ensures effortless transitions between brushes, colors, and functions, catering seamlessly to creatives, professionals, and students alike.
Samsung has also reimagined productivity through Samsung DeX, transforming the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra into a desktop-like experience at the tap of a button. The device allows multitasking at scale, enabling users to run multiple apps simultaneously, resize windows, and create dedicated workspaces that suit individual workflows. The introduction of the Galaxy AI Key further amplifies this functionality, splitting screens instantly for AI-driven multitasking, converting sketches or draft notes into polished content, and streamlining workflows with drag-and-drop efficiency.
The integration of Gemini Live extends these capabilities beyond productivity into learning and personal development. By solving problems directly on-screen, simplifying visuals, and presenting interactive quizzes, Samsung positions the S11 Ultra not just as a device but as a dynamic learning companion. It’s a bold move that aligns with the growing demand for AI-powered education tools across Nigeria.
Complementing the flagship, the Galaxy Tab A11 is positioned as an accessible, everyday tool designed for education and entertainment. With expandable storage of up to 2TB and a long-lasting battery, it targets younger audiences and students in both primary and tertiary institutions. According to Tae Sun Lee, CEO of Samsung Electronics West Africa, the A11 is a “pocket-friendly tablet built for everyday use,” making advanced digital tools more widely accessible in the region.
Both devices will officially be available nationwide beginning September 25, 2025, through Samsung Experience Stores, authorized dealers, and partner retailers. With this launch, Samsung is not only introducing new hardware but also shaping the future of mobile productivity and learning in Nigeria, signaling a deeper integration of AI into everyday life.
