Access Holdings Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Ifedayo Olaniyi Orimoloye as Executive Director, Risk Management at Access Bank Plc, effective September 21, 2026.
The appointment, which has received approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), brings more than 25 years of risk management experience across financial institutions in Africa, Europe and the United States to Access Bank’s executive leadership.
Orimoloye was most recently the Group Chief Risk Officer of the African Development Bank, where he oversaw a portfolio exceeding $40 billion and contributed to the institution’s continued AAA ratings from Moody’s, S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings.
His experience covers enterprise risk management, capital optimisation, credit governance, regulatory compliance and strategic transformation. He has also been involved in major capital and securitisation transactions, including initiatives aimed at expanding renewable energy access across Africa.
Before joining the African Development Bank, Orimoloye held senior risk leadership positions at Sterling Bank, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, Wells Fargo, HSBC and Citigroup, where he worked across risk transformation, portfolio management and governance.
He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Finance and an MBA in Finance from California State University, Hayward.
Commenting on the appointment, Access Holdings Group Chairman Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede said Orimoloye’s global risk management experience and strategic leadership would strengthen Access Bank’s risk governance and support its scale-to-value focus.
The appointment is part of Access Bank’s broader commitment to governance, prudent risk management and sustainable stakeholder value, according to the company.
