The Board has announced the appointment of Ayman Hussein F. Gaafar as Managing Director, ushering in a new leadership phase for the company following the conclusion of Mrs Folake Ogundipe’s tenure as Interim Managing Director.
Gaafar brings extensive experience from the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, having held leadership roles across multinational companies including Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Danone, and Shan Foods.
His career spans multiple international markets, including the Middle East, Africa, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the Levant region, and Canada, with expertise covering general management, commercial leadership, market expansion, and business transformation.
The appointment reflects the company’s focus on strengthening strategic execution and accelerating growth in an increasingly competitive consumer market environment. Gaafar is recognised for driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, building operational capacity, and leading large cross-functional teams across diverse regions.
He is also credited with developing go-to-market strategies, establishing strategic partnerships, and leading transformation initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and long-term business performance.
The leadership transition comes as Mrs Folake Ogundipe concludes her role as interim managing director, a position she assumed in December 2025 during a critical period for the company.
During her tenure, Ogundipe oversaw the company’s operations and strategic continuity, helping maintain stability while supporting the organisation through a transitional phase. Her leadership was marked by operational resilience, strategic focus, and sustained commitment to the company’s direction and performance objectives.
The Board expressed appreciation for her contributions and acknowledged the role she played in steering the company during the interim period.
Business Verge congratulates Ayman Hussein F. Gaafar on his appointment and wishes both him and Mrs Folake Ogundipe continued success in their respective journeys.
