Aramide Nwokediuko has been appointed Director, Corporate Communications and External Public Affairs & General Counsel at CHI Limited, following her exit as Company Secretary, General Counsel, and Head of Corporate Services at Chemical and Allied Products (CAP) Plc.
The appointment represents a significant leadership transition within the UAC of Nigeria Plc Group, with Nwokediuko moving from one subsidiary to another to assume a broader executive portfolio that combines legal leadership with corporate communications and stakeholder engagement.
Her resignation from CAP became effective after the company’s 61st Annual General Meeting held on June 24, 2026, concluding a notable chapter during which she played a key role in strengthening the company’s legal, governance, and compliance functions.
Broader Executive Responsibilities at CHI Limited
In her new role, Nwokediuko will oversee corporate communications, external public affairs, legal services, and corporate governance, reflecting a growing trend among leading organizations to integrate reputation management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder relations under a unified leadership structure.
The expanded responsibilities are expected to support CHI Limited’s strategic priorities by strengthening governance, enhancing corporate reputation, and deepening engagement with regulators, partners, investors, and other key stakeholders.
Extensive Experience Across Multiple Industries
Nwokediuko brings more than 14 years of experience spanning corporate law, governance, compliance, and business advisory across several sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), healthcare, and technology.
Before joining CAP Plc, she served as Group Company Secretary, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at CFAO Nigeria, where she led legal and governance initiatives across the group’s operations.
Earlier in her career, she spent nearly 12 years at the commercial law firm Banwo & Ighodalo, advising local and international clients on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and governance matters.
Strong Academic and Executive Credentials
Nwokediuko earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Lagos before being called to the Nigerian Bar after completing her training at the Nigerian Law School.
She has also completed executive education programs at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, alongside other professional development programs focused on corporate governance, leadership, and business strategy.
