Her career began in administration and human resources, where she developed expertise in people management, organisational performance, and cross-cultural collaboration before transitioning into sustainability-focused roles.
She describes her professional philosophy as one driven by integrity, collaboration, and impact. “My passion for building responsible businesses led me to specialise in ESG, sustainability strategy, and recycling initiatives,” she said.

Experience That Positioned Her for the Role
Before joining Deloitte Nigeria, Agbetanmije built her sustainability and corporate experience at Seven Up Bottling Company, where she held multiple roles over a three-year period. She most recently served as Sustainability Specialist between February 2026 and March 2026 after previously working as Sustainability Analyst from May 2024 to February 2026.
In those positions, she led ESG data collection and reporting initiatives aimed at ensuring compliance with international sustainability standards and frameworks. She also supported recycling and circular economy initiatives designed to reduce waste and promote environmentally responsible operational practices within the company. Her responsibilities further included coordinating sustainability week campaigns, environmental awareness programmes, and employee engagement initiatives focused on green practices and workplace sustainability.
Agbetanmije also worked closely with different business units to align sustainability goals with wider corporate strategy, helping drive long-term value creation and operational impact.
Prior to her transition into sustainability leadership, she served as a learning and development analyst between August 2023 and May 2024, where she designed and delivered employee training programmes aimed at improving workforce performance and organisational development. She streamlined onboarding and knowledge-sharing processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align talent development initiatives with broader company objectives.
Her early corporate experience began as a People and Culture Management Trainee from February 2023 to July 2023, where she rotated across departments to gain exposure to business operations, sustainability projects, administration, and HR functions.
This blend of sustainability expertise, people management experience, and operational exposure likely positioned her as a strong candidate for Deloitte’s sustainability leadership role in Nigeria.
